POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Manage the resources of the Department to deliver required services. Deliver managed services while being consistent, predictable and repeatable. Foster teamwork within and across work units. Assure the very best customer service possible. Supervises employees spending majority of their time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees work. Secure resources necessary for employees to succeed. Ensure employees meet quality and quantity requirements of the position. Focus employees on the Department's mission and objectives outlined in the business plan.

Evaluate project/process to determine current performance status. Make/recommend improvements to optimize delivery or improve results. Notify stakeholders of any changes to the project/process. Ensure project/process is consistent, predictable and repeatable.

Perform engineering analysis as required to determine the best approach for pavement resurfacing and construction. Prepare and Sign/seal engineering reports and specifications as required.

Perform engineering analysis of in-place conditions in the field. Perform warranty inspection and analysis in the field as required. Determine the cause(s) of the in-place conditions. Engineer solutions if necessary or requested by the customer. Sign and seal engineering report and recommendations as required.

Perform engineering analysis as required to determine the best application of materials for a given need. Specify performance requirements and/or material properties as required. Specify testing and inspection requirements necessary to verify performance or material properties. Sign and seal related documents as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to operate a personal computer for word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; Knowledge of the concepts, terminology, principles and analytical techniques of Materials Engineering, specifically bituminous and concrete pavements. Knowledge of engineering design, construction, production and/or operations; Skill in using engineering tools, equipment and/or instruments; Ability to analyze and interpret engineering data; Ability to solve problems relating to engineering; Ability to plan, design, evaluate and investigate engineering works and systems; Ability to apply engineering quantitative techniques; Ability to monitor and inspect engineering projects; Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; Ability to communicate engineering information effectively; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others:
Ability to supervise people.

REQUIRED LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
Position requires Registration as a Professional Engineer in accordance with Chapter 471, Florida Statutes.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
